The Importance Of Practicing What We Read In The Bible

“What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
‭‭(Philippians‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

Practice What You Read

When you read the Bible, remember what you’ve read and go out of your way to practice the commands God gives us through His word. Be obedient to God’s word. Through prayer we can ask God to help us focus on His Word and think deeply about the meaning of what we read and God will help us be obedient.

The God of Peace Will be With You

If we seek to be obedient to the Bible we will have peace knowing that what we are doing is the right thing. Even though sometimes in some circumstances we will face persecution or difficulty it may be a hard thing to do, but we can have peace knowing that the God of peace will be with us.

One Practical Chalenge For You

Lastly, I want to simply Challenge you. If you’re currently reading God’s word daily, continue reading and spend time with prayerful thought on what impact those words should have on your life. Think about what things you need to keep doing and what things you need to work hard with the help of the spirit, stop doing.

To those of you who are not currently reading God’s word on a daily basis, or are trying but fail. Start today even if it’s later in the day. Though you may want to start tomorrow, don’t wait start now, begin reading now. You don’t need to plan anything or write out some long list. (Though I would suggest that you find a plan to follow later on.) Right now pick up a copy and begin reading.

Thanks for reading, I hope you’re chalenged by this verse and the things I shared with you. Please comment and share your opinion or whatever thoughts you have that you would like to share with me.
